Our client engaged us for a straightforward yet highly sophisticated platform that would allow its users to receive inspector jobs with the ease of their mobile phones and other digital devices.

A large number of inspection companies in the US are currently using this system and can successfully vouch for its authenticity and usability.

Our client intended to work on the same principle. Their platform could take samples and observations from the property owners for the inspections and send them forth to get tested. Our developers put together an active monitoring and capable system that could conveniently analyze the activity on both mobile and web capacities.

Challenges That Steered Us Forward

The first challenge that our team faced was understanding the complex rules of the inspection companies. It might not appear so, but in reality, inspection companies operate quite differently from other businesses and under much stricter & compounded regulations.

Additionally, it was indispensable to fully understand the target audience-their needs, requirements, and expectations. The findings led us to map the UX of the platform accordingly.

To reduce the complexity, our team further needed to change the architecture of the entire application and make it seem more approachable.

There was also a significant need to reduce the complexity of the application and make it more user-friendly so users could easily navigate through it.

Appiskey’s Light-Bulb Moment

Our team of experts developed this platform with a focus on the parallel development of both mobile and web apps. The platform was intended to offer the flexibility of customization for each inspection report, allowing its users to tailor the content according to their specific needs.

The purpose behind transferring to MVVM was the allowance for separation between the user interfaces from the application logic. MVVM breaks down the application into modular components. This improves the application’s maintenance, makes its evolution simpler, and lowers the risk of obsolescence. Under MVVM, the View references and View model have a minimal dependency on the Rest APIs, where the latter exhibits effortless unit testing than event-driven code.
